We are but dust the Bible says, and because of our
short sightedness we are always looking for an answer we can see. Look at the children of Israel for
example. When Moses went up to speak to
God on Mount Sinai because he was there so long the children of Israel thought
he was dead, and therefore turned from their faith in the Lord, and fashioned
for themself a god to go before them (a golden calf).
We know how that part of history ends, more than
3000 were destroyed. Salomon says it so
well “There is nothing new under the sun” Ecclesiastes 1:9.
We as Americans are acting like the children of
Israel, instead of fashioning for ourselves a golden calf to worship; we
worship the “GOVERNMENT”. Is government
really our provider and the answer to all our ills? We must think so, that’s
why we voted for an ever larger government, with more and more power.
What we don’t realize is it is to our destruction of
our own freedom, and the enslavement of our future, but I guess to us the
answer we are looking for is our security.
Lord I pray for my fellow American’s that they see
what they are doing to themselves; they are running head long to destruction
and enslavement to an ever powerful government.
Let us see that the answer is You.
You are our security and freedom in Jesus name Amen
